What Rustic Weddings Mean To Me

If you open up any wedding magazine right now you'll see mason jars and "rustic" type weddings.  I think my definition of rustic is a little different. The Websters Dictionary of rustic is: adjective 1. of, relating to, or living in the country, as distinguished from towns orcities; rural.  2. simple, artless, or unsophisticated. 3. uncouth, rude, or boorish. 4. made of rough limbs or roots of trees, as garden seats. 5. (of stonework) having the surfaces rough or irregular and the joints sunken or beveled. OR noun 6. a country person. 7. an unsophisticated country person.

No where in here does it say that rustic means looking old and beat up and broken! :) This would be my definition of a "rustic" styled wedding! Picked up some photos from pintrest!

Hope these photos help a little as you can see I am not a fan of pallet board signs or chunks of trees....

Happy Planning!
