For more than two decades, I've helped couples turn wedding ideas into thoughtfully planned celebrations. Today, that experience takes me throughout the Caribbean and Mexico, helping couples navigate not only the wedding—but the destination, resort, room block, guest travel and experience surrounding it.
HOW IT STARTED
Weddings Were the Beginning. Travel Changed the View.
I've spent more than 20 years in the wedding and event industry, but Behind The Scenes didn't begin as a destination wedding company. It began with a love of creating experiences.
Over the years, I've planned intimate celebrations, large-scale events, and weddings filled with hundreds of tiny details that all had to come together at exactly the right moment. And eventually, something changed.
My work began taking me beyond the ballroom—and beyond the United States.
I discovered that destination weddings brought together two industries I already loved: weddings and travel.
But I also saw the challenge couples faced.
Planning a wedding at a resort hundreds or thousands of miles away isn't simply traditional wedding planning with a prettier backdrop. There are resort contracts, room blocks, guest reservations, airport transfers, wedding packages, travel requirements, group logistics and countless decisions couples often don't know they need to make.
That's where my experience on both sides became so valuable.
Today, Behind The Scenes brings wedding planning and travel planning together so couples don't have to figure out how those two worlds connect.
And after more than two decades in this industry, there's still nothing quite like watching a couple arrive in paradise and realize:
“We're really getting married here.”

My involvement with ABC has included leadership roles at the state and national levels and has allowed me to educate, mentor, and collaborate with wedding professionals around the world.
Why does that matter to my couples?
