Yes. Foreign couples can legally marry in Curaçao.

Current Curaçao requirements include submitting a written marriage request and documentation such as birth certificates showing the parents' names, an international declaration of unmarried status with the appropriate apostille or legalization, passport copies and additional documentation when either person is divorced or widowed.

The official Curaçao Tourism Board states that required documents must be original, recent and legally certified, and certain documents cannot have been issued more than six months before the wedding date.

Because legal requirements can change, couples should confirm current requirements with the appropriate Curaçao authorities and their wedding provider before submitting documents.

Same-sex marriage has been fully legal in Curaçao since July 2024, and same-sex couples follow the same civil marriage process as other couples. Curaçao's official tourism authority states that there are no legal restrictions preventing same-sex couples from marrying on the island.

U.S. citizens traveling to Curaçao should travel with a valid U.S. passport and should verify current entry requirements before departure.

Curaçao currently requires visitors to complete a Digital Immigration Card (DI Card) online before clearing immigration.

The requirement applies individually, meaning each traveler—including children—needs a completed card for each trip. Travelers must be able to provide the submitted form digitally or as a printed copy upon arrival.

The DI Card can currently be completed as late as one hour before arrival, but we recommend that wedding guests complete required travel documentation well before departure rather than waiting until travel day.
