Behind The Scenes is led by Veronica Foster, Master Wedding Planner and experienced travel advisor with more than 20 years in the wedding and event industry.
Having personally traveled throughout the Caribbean and Mexico, toured resorts, explored wedding venues, and worked across both the wedding & travel industries, Veronica brings a different perspective to destination wedding planning.
Choosing the right destination isn't simply about finding somewhere beautiful. It's about knowing what will actually work—for the experience you want to create.

Ideally, begin exploring your destination and resort approximately 12–18 months before your preferred wedding date. Larger groups, popular resorts and highly requested dates may benefit from starting even earlier. If you're working with less time, don't assume it's impossible—we can evaluate what's realistically available.

They serve different roles. Resort wedding coordinators primarily manage the wedding services taking place at their property. A destination wedding planner can help you look at the broader experience, including resort selection, room blocks, guest travel, planning decisions and logistics before and during the wedding experience.

Typically, yes. Guests generally pay for their flights, accommodations and personal travel expenses, while the couple traditionally covers the wedding and any additional events they choose to host.

A room block reserves an agreed number or type of rooms for your wedding group under specific terms. Requirements vary significantly by resort and supplier, so it's important to understand deadlines, payment requirements and contractual commitments before signing.

No. While all-inclusive resorts are a popular choice for destination weddings, Behind The Scenes is not limited to all-inclusive properties.
We help couples explore the type of destination and property that best fits their wedding vision, guest experience, budget and priorities. Depending on what you're imagining, that may be an all-inclusive resort, luxury hotel, boutique property or another destination wedding venue.
Our goal isn't to fit your wedding into a particular type of resort. It's to find the destination and setting that are right for you.
If you're not sure what type of property would work best for your celebration, that's perfectly okay. We'll help you compare the options and understand how differences in accommodations, wedding services, guest travel and overall experience may affect your wedding.

This depends on the planning services selected. Some couples are comfortable working directly with their resort's on-site wedding team once the travel and group arrangements are established, while others want additional in-destination planning and wedding-day support. Your existing FAQ already describes both possibilities.

When your destination wedding and group room accommodations are booked through Behind The Scenes, our destination wedding planning and travel services are provided at no additional planning fee.
Because we manage both the wedding and travel sides of your celebration, we're able to support you with resort and wedding coordination, your room block, guest travel and the planning process as one connected experience.
If you've already booked your wedding and/or group accommodations elsewhere and would like Behind The Scenes to step in to assist with planning, coordination or travel management, professional planning fees will apply. We'll review what's already been booked, what support you need and provide pricing based on the scope of services required.
